Shoot 6 - Light Drawing Location - Work Diary

This particular shoot links back to shoot 4 where I did light drawing in the studio, this time I attempted to do a similar thing but on location using a torch to 'draw'.  The shot was semi-sucessful as some places were just simply too light (outside) for the slower shutter speed and ended with over exposed photos, I also had a few problems with people walking through the areas/rooms that I was using although this was not a major problem.  The photos from this shoot look almost surreal as the lines of light logically aren't suppose to be there but still look like they fit.
I think this photo is pretty good as the whole image is bright but none of it is over exposed and the light lines stand out from the rest of the image with a faint ghostly image of my class mate who was helping me in the centre of the image.

This second photo is quite good I managed to find a dark area within the college and used that, I think there effective as it isn't just black with the light lines the surrounding area is visible as well.

To progress upon this I could try the same thing as I did here but outside in some woods or something when it is darker and also try using other sources of light like sparklers and possibly something like flash powder.
